Friday, after work, I had work. I hate that. Not a good way to start a weekend. On Saturday we went to see Snow White and the Huntsman.... FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD, DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!! Why was it horrible? I would like to blame Kristen Stewart, and she was horrible, but the worst part was like one person wrote the beginning (which was okay), another the middle (which was mind numbingly dull) and then another the end, which included a screeched speech meant to inspire the troops. I think they only went to shut the bitch up.But apparently none of these three people spoke to each other and wrote independently, without a solid plot. Plot-lines were abandoned without resolution. total character turn abouts with no motivation or reason behind it. So basically it sucked balls. And before someone says it.... it sucks homeless old man who has not had a shower in eight years balls.
So Sunday I had to work night. I am not a fan of the midnight to 6 shift. But the worst thing was a 9:30 PM on call. Which means, me trying to adjust my sleep schedule, because I have my "real" job on at 8AM. So trying to sleep through the day, but then have to call in at 7:30, no to the oncall, come in at midnight. So to try to go back to sleep.... Fuck I am tired. One would think this means I slept like a baby last night.... nope. Last night I tossed, I turned. I was a miserable prick most of the day. So here I am, going on about 2 hours last night. It's gonna be a hell of a day.
LOL! "I think they only went to shut the bitch up". Oh if only you wrote film reviews!
ReplyDeleteKristen Stewart, pretty as hell but can't act for shit.
Hope that you get some much needed rest soon. :)
Can you imagine me writing reviews. Oh, the movie industry would be out for my blood.
DeleteI had no intention of watching that movie but thanks for the warning anyway. Damn, it sounds like you have been having one hell of a day/night. Try and take it easy and go with the flow of things. As soon as you get a chance get some rest! I remember years ago I worked as a security guard during the weekend at a construction site for 24 hours straight because they could not find anyone to relieve me! I got the next two days off though from the company so it worked out.
ReplyDeleteComing into my own now. Had a really good sleep, so almost back to normal.
DeleteI agree! That movie was awful. If it wasn't for Chris being in the movie, it would have been useless.
ReplyDeleteIf only they had developed his character it might have gone somewhere.
DeleteLOL, I wish I did. I actually thought the trailers look amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh Jamie, that did make me smile... I have been wondering about that movie... I may just wait to see it on tv in the future, I really don't want to spend 10 or more if it sucked that bad, lol
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, you will want to watch it on tv... So you can change the channel:P
DeleteBloody Hell Jamie I have been trying to convince myself that the movie was ok quite good really, since the weekend, when hubby and I went to see it :( £28 it cost and now I have to admit it was a big bag of Kack and It was my turn to choose Bummer, and now I have the nasty picture of eight year unwashed balls in my head yak :{
ReplyDeleteSorry Kiki. But you knew down deep you were justifying the money spent.
DeleteTrue, it hurts so much when they lull you into a false sense of security with the dazzling previews! will I ever learn to ignore the glitter and sparkle :(
ReplyDeleteno good! no good that you have to work after work!
ReplyDeletebooooooo.
I've not even heard of this movie (not that I go to the cinema often) but will definitely give it a wide birth if comes round here.
ReplyDeleteRemember Jamie, all that hard work is going to pay off big time one day. Make sure you get the rest though, you don't want to end up falling asleep on the job either. You do give me a laugh though. :)
I'm trying to spread the world so more people don't fork out the dough to see this totally terrible movie.
DeleteI don't like Kristen Stewart for the mere fact that she doesn't really give her all in acting so when I watched this movie I focused more on the other things than her acting. I did see some clips of Twilight (T.T) in which most of the time she just had horrified faces or what is going on...so watching Snow White she put more effort than her usual blah/horrified facial expressions. She was trying more than she usually does so I said ok but I would not have wanted to have her as snow white anyway. Theron was awesome as the evil queen. She was pretty much running the show.
ReplyDeleteThe "rousing speech" made me think there was no coming back from this disaster. Theron was awesome, it is a shame they did not continue with that back story and forget all about Snow White.
DeleteOMG! Thanks for the heads up Jamie. A girlfriend has been nagging me about that flick and now I know how to handle it better.
ReplyDeleteSomebody ought to give Kristen Stewart an energy shot, some vitamins to connect her medulla oblongata with the rest of her cranial nerves. For someone who has been lucky to be in a movie with Jodie Foster, she totally did not learn anything! Bleah!
She was in a movie with Jodie Foster? Really?
ReplyDeleteKristin Stewart becoming a "respected" actress makes me mental. She's dull and lifeless on screen and I just want to scream at her to shut her mouth so as not to attract flies. But that's just the inner-grandma in me coming out. Even though I'm not a grandma. Or a mother for that matter. She just irritates me that much.
ReplyDeleteYeah, she drives me mental too. I thought it might just be her role in the Twilight movie.... but no, it's her.
