I recently read a very funny blog, but in all honesty felt the need to defend my fellow man.
sometimes I wish I were a guy
First off, the guys that do worry about things like manscaping and dressing get absolutely ZERO encouragement from you ladies out there. I often hear girls say thing like "I don't want to be in a relationship where he is the pretty one" or "I don't want to be with any guy who takes longer in the bathroom than me". Admit it, you've said those lines, usually after seeing a hot guy who obviously took the time to be just that, hot. PLUS you encourage the opposite.
See this guy probably gets laid. You wonder why gay guys take care of themselves? Because we date other guys. Guys are brutal when it comes to not cutting the people we date slack. Now this guy probably has a wife or girlfriend that is too nice to tell him the truth. Get a fucking haircut, it is no longer the 80s, buy some fucking big boy clothes, and lose about 40 pounds. All of this he would be told 3 minutes into a gay bar. So if you want guys to look better, reward those who do take the time and don't let the ones who don't get laid.

I have a few gay friends and the men take care of themselves much more than the women, the majority of my lesbien friends dress and look like the photo of the guy on your post, I tried to get my friend carol to buy a dress for a night out, she looked at me like I just ran over her cat! Each to their own.

ReplyDeleteI hear ya Jamie, I am a straight man but I like to look good. I always wear dress shoes and I like to dress casual with that. Lucky for me I'm no longer available and have been married for the past 18 years. But I still like to take care of myself and look decent.
ReplyDeleteJamie I have to agree with you on one point: if a guy takes longer than me in the bathroom, it annoys me :) that being said, I still want him to take care of himself and look good, and trust me I give a lot of feedback, maybe sometimes too much. He just needs to be able to look good .... faster :) then I am satisfied
ReplyDeleteNow about not wanting to be with a guy prettier than you, I think it might be because a lot of women are not so confident and they worry about their pretty man attracting ladies. That's pretty sad. I want the guy I am with to turn heads, it makes me feel even prettier ...
