T is for

Too much information.
Now I know not everything that seems a big deal to some people is a big deal to anyone else.... but some things cannot just be shrugged away.

Today my boss was interviewing for a grunt.  You know someone who does all the grunt work (like me), but content to be just that.  Anyway, this guy goes into his interview and starts to leave.  "How did it go?" I asked.
"They asked me for a police check", he seemed a little upset.
"They do that with everyone," my co-worker assured him.
"Are they just checking for warrants, or like a full record?"
Most people I know have some record or another.  Nothing to get put away for, usually a public drunkenness or possession charge.  "So long as it's not too bad you'll be okay."
"Oh, good," he says.  "Nothing really, just a few domestic violence charges."  He shrugs like it is nothing.

Really dude?  THAT is no big deal to you?  I'm thinking the main reason they do a police check is to weed out those who either are drug dealers or those with violence issues, especially among those with no voice to speak out.  Oh, creepy, creepy, creepy.  I think on to the next interview.

    1. Truth, Vi. On the plus side, in case he never actually had charges laid, it's known now, police check or not.

  2. What a winner :S
What would you do if he got the job?
And in a strange way I hope he does get a job, but only because whom ever he is beating up will get a break from him,

    1. Nah, he won't, and I am grateful, because otherwise he might hae. I would rather not have to keep the disgust out off my face when I had to see him.

  3. You could always lock him in the walk-in freezer "by accident" - lol.
Forgive me, that was a mean thing to say, regardless of how despicable these people are ..

    1. I think it's a great idea... If only we had a freezer:S Well I guess we have one, but we woud have to hack him into pieces to fit him... doable.

  4. He lacks the edit function that goes from his brain to his mouth. But then again I like what Violet said, in this case it may not be a bad thing to know what kind of person you're dealing with up front.

  5. wow, that is scary that he acts like domestic violence is nothing.

Hopefully he doesn't have children to witness it because it messes up the whole family especially children who are so helpless to do anything :(

    1. I know Alex. I hope he never thinks fatherhood is a good idea for him.

  6. I love that one of your labels is "douche-bag", although it sounds like this guy is way beyond that. Of course it's no big deal to him, he's not the one getting beaten up.

    1. It does somewhat shock me that he would announce it, but then I guess he is so fucked up he doesn't really get that no, not everyone beats their partners.

  8. There are all kinds of people in this world and some of them just are jerks. But I'm believing that someway everyone gets paid what they deserve sooner or later for what goes around comes around as well. What you sow you will reap.

    1. Ah, I wish I could believe that really happens.

  9. I didn't mean always, but basicly what you give, you get back. Certainly there are wealthy and powerful people who are somewhat above the social norms.
I'm using my deceased father as an example. He did live downplaying and despising others and announcing his own exellence. Yes he was very charismatic in good position at his work, powerful person and expert in getting all the sympathy and playing the role of a victim, no matter what shit he did to others for long time all the way until his shitty end.
By real nature he was arrogant, numb, greedy, had total lack of any kind empathy and was full of himself.
Allthough he died alone with a gun. In the end he got what he deserved though I never believed that could actually happen for seeing him "winning" all over again and again in the games he was playing. So I would say it is sort of true that everyone gets what they deserve in the end. At least sometimes.

    1. True amythest, it does happen, usually because negative people drive away anyone who wants positive things in their life. But unfortunately many times victimizers never are subjected to justice.
